Ever since being a teenager I was drawn to the hustle and bustle of living amid all the action, certain towns or cities always appealed to me, Henley on Thames, Portsmouth on the solent, historic Bath etc.

Having been brought up in rural locations in the UK I always wondered what it would be like just walking out of your front door and have everything you need within walking distance, cafes, shops, pubs etc, this is my exact lifestyle right now and I love every minute of it.

Inspired by the wonderful Jack Reacher character in the Lee Child novels that I love. Reacher spends his life travelling with only a toothbrush and a cashcard to his name, buying and throwing away clothes instead of laundering them. I vowed to try the minimalist life if I got the chance. The opportunity arose so I took it. I love it.
